Wytske Versteeg

Wytske Versteeg (b. 1983) is a writer and political expert. Her debut novel De wezenlozen (2012), the tragic tale of a disrupted family, won the Vrouw Debuutprijs and her second novel Boy earned her the 2014 BNG Literatuurprijs. Versteeg had previously published the non-fiction book Dit is geen dakloze (2008), which was nominated for the Jan Hanlo Essayprijs Groot. Quarantaine (2015), her latest novel, tells the story of a cynic who learns at the end of time what it is to be human.
