Slow reading

Immerse yourself in your favourite books in a peaceful, intimate setting during Passa Porta’s first slow reading session.
Slow reading means reading together in silence and escaping the hustle and bustle of everyday life. During the reading hour, you read a book of your choice, together with other book enthusiasts. The pleasure of reading comes first: there is no assigned reading - just bring your own book or e-reader. Afterwards, there’s time to chat.
For this occasion, the Passa Porta Bookshop will open its doors for participants after closing time. Starting at 6.30 pm, you can escape the Christmas rush to do some book shopping. The slow reading starts at 7pm. After the session, you can enjoy the special Christmas lights on the Place Sainte-Catherine, Grand-Place, Place de la Monnaie, Bourse, Marché aux Poissons and The Place de Brouckère.
