Open mic: Ghost stories
Last summer, Passa Porta invited you to share your stories at Camping Josée’s open mic. On Friday evening, all poets, slammers and writers are again invited to an evening of spoken word, shared emotions, and poetry devoted to the theme of ghosts.

the concept
We are hosting an open mic for everyone, whether you are a beginner or an experienced word artist. Each participant gets the chance to present a text or slam poem of their choice (max. 3 minutes per text). We encourage you to unearth your best ghost stories, but any theme or genre is welcome. Miksi from Speakeasy Brussels will be our MC, and the fiery slam and rap duo Z&T completes the line-up, which was developed in collaboration with GC Ten Noey, Bib Joske and Globe Aroma.
headliner z&t
Z&T is the powerful duo made up of Zouz and T.A. Their powerful, committed texts – a cross between slam and rap – draw inspiration from social injustice and rage.

about the partners
Community centre Ten Noey in Sint-Joost-ten-Node focuses on connecting individuals and organizations, and strives to welcome as many people and ideas as possible. Every form of encounter is valuable. The centre is there for the local community and for Dutch-language lovers – anyone who is interested in a Dutch activity and would like to give shape to it there. Ten Noey offers opportunities for learning and practising Dutch, and takes a mindful approach to language, the mother tongue, Dutch and multilingualism.
Bib Joske is the Dutch-language library of Sint-Joost-ten-Node. It is the co-organizer of the summer community party Camping Josée, among others.
Globe Aroma is an artistic work and meeting place that offers space, time and a network to artists, co-creators and art lovers with a background as newcomers. Globe Aroma supports people with a precarious citizenship status who often face specific difficulties accessing the arts sector and developing artistic practices. In partnership with the Flemish, Brussels and international cultural, educational and migration sectors, Globe Aroma is building a mental and infrastructural intermediate space where communities can create, discover and share art with a wide audience.
