Passa Porta Festival
The Passa Porta Festival is one big celebration of national and international literature! Every two years Passa Porta draws the best authors to Brussels for a delightfully long literary weekend.
Brussels City of Stories
Along with Muntpunt, the Brussels Book Fair and Le 140, the international house of literature Passa Porta is part of ‘Brussels City of Stories’, a multifaceted project that aims to inhabit the territory of Brussels in a poetic way by filling the city with the stories of the people who live here. The challenge? Brussels, with its 180 nationalities and almost a hundred languages, is full of stories that are just waiting to be told!
Courage
In these troubled times, we asked Belgian and international authors what the notion of courage inspired in them. Their answers have been scattered in the public space: it’s up to you to find them!
La Bourse Jacques De Decker : un coup de pouce à la curiosité
Place à la créativité et à l'expérimentation ! Passa Porta lance la « Bourse Jacques De Decker – ode à la curiosité », un tremplin de 5.000 euros destiné à faire décoller les idées dans le domaine littéraire au sens large.

Brussels loves books and books love Brussels! With #BrusselsBookCity, discover the wide-ranging and thriving literary scene in the capital of Europe.
CELA
Passa Porta is part of the European project CELA (Connecting Emerging Literary Artists). Together with partners from Spain, Portugal, Romania, the Netherlands, Italy, Poland, Czechia and Serbia our house supports promising young literary talent.
Choix Goncourt de la Belgique
Every year the Académie Goncourt presents the Choix Goncourt de la Belgique. The Académie makes an initial selection. A jury composed of students from no fewer than ten Belgian universities then selects the winning title. Passa Porta lends its support for the selection of the laureate.
Le prix des 5 continents
French-language literature is incredibly rich and lively. Passa Porta is happy to highlight that richness and organizes the Belgian reading committee of the ‘Prix des 5 continents de la Francophonie’.
National Poet
Together with other literary organizations in Belgium, Passa Porta supports the National Poet during his or her term, on both sides of the language border.
Vers Brussel
