The Poetik Bazar is a unique poetry market in Brussels. You will find poetry publishers from Belgium, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Quebec. Poetry of all kinds, from books to magazines, including micro-publishing and illustration. This year, Turkey and its poetry take centre stage with a special spotlight curated by writer and translator Canan Marasligil.
For three days, the Poetik Bazar offers a rich and diverse day and evening programme: performances, meetings, workshops, signing sessions, outdoor activities and events to help you (re)discover the vitality of the contemporary poetry scene.
On Friday, September 20, from 8pm, Passa Porta invites you to the opening night, a multilingual evening (subtitled in French and Dutch) with the following authors: Anna Ayanoglou (BE), Shannon Sullivan (GER), Gonca Özmen (TUR), JJ Bola (UK), Mustafa Kör (TUR), Nil Görkem (TUR). The fourth edition of the Poetik Bazar poetry market sets off to a great start with this multilingual evening of readings. The Opening Night will be led by Alex Deforce, accompanied by musician Orphan Fairytale, who will orchestrate the evening.
Poetik Bazar is a project run by a collective of associations: Midis poésie, les éditeurs singuliers, Poëziecentrum, VONK en Zonen, la Foire du livre de Bruxelles, maelstrÖm reEvolution, la Maison de la poésie d'Amay, l'Arbre de Diane, in collaboration with Passa Porta. In coproduction with Les Halles de Schaerbeek.
