At the request of Passa Porta, Max Porter wrote and performed an entirely new text during the Passa Porta Festival. Surprisingly enough, he also introduced a new genre: a 'polyphony for one voice', as he calls it.

Porter took the covid pandemic and the ensuing lockdowns and quarantines as his starting point for an analysis of our times. How did we get here? What follows is a witty, poetic tirade, constructed from multiple narrative perspectives, and passionately hurled into the world from behind his laptop, at home in Bath.

On the occasion of the launch of the Dutch translation of Porters new book The Death of Francis Bacon, we are pleased to release this lecture. Watch and enjoy the inimitable Max Porter and his performance of 'It's so good'! The original text can be found below the video.

Recorded for the online edition of the Passa Porta Festival 2021. First broadcast on 21 March 2021.
