Canadian poet Anne Carson received the Nobel Prize in Literature on 8 October. The day before, in keeping with tradition, Passa Porta awarded its own “Noble Prize” to… Georges Perec (1936–1982).
Together with an exceptional line-up of guests (Lydia Flem, Thomas Clerc, Bob Vanden Broeck and Philippe Marczewski, among others), we highlighted just how powerfully the author of A Void, Things: A Story of the Sixties and Species of Spaces and Other Pieces continues to inspire and influence contemporary literature.
Featuring a moving appearance by Georges Perec’s goddaughter, Sylvia Richardson, it was a memorable evening. You can relive some of its highlights here.
