On Friday, October 17, the young Palestinian poet Ahmed Saleh, in collaboration with Passa Porta, presented RIHLA, an artistic project aimed at exploring and dissecting experiences of exile and questions of identity. We did so through a beautiful and powerful literary evening. Singer and violinist Amel Sdiri (Tunisia) embraced the audience with her music, and poets Alaa Hassanien (Egypt) and Karim Abualroos (Palestine) read from their work and shared, under the moderation of Judith Campagne, their experiences as artists living far from home. You can relive the entire event here.

You can also find more essays, reflections, poems, and artworks by these and many other artists in the first edition of RIHLA Magazine, available at the Passa Porta Bookshop or to read online here: https://www.rihla.be/magazine.
