Lotte Dodion (1987) is a poet and versatile performer.

Even when she is not writing or performing, Lotte Dodion slings poetry and wonder into everyday life: she sets up poetry projects in which she experiments with social design and encourages people to write. Her debut collection Kanonnenvlees (2016) has been reprinted multiple times. Her second book, Studio Haiku, is published by Atlas Contact in the fall of 2022.

Dodion also regularly collaborates with musicians. Together with Chantal Acda, she toured ‘Nu Nog Even Niet’, an intimist musical crossover project. With Adriaan de Roover she released a meditation that was equally musical and poetic. With Annelies Van Dinter (Echo Beatty) she made a tribute to the mother of punk, Patti Smith. She is also one of the official poets of the city of Antwerp for the year 2022-2023.

Dodion is using her residency in Tokyo with Youkobo Artspace to gather inspiration for a new poetry collection. Her ears lead her exploration of the city; revering the Fujisan at sunrise, visiting sacred sites and doing field research on witchcraft, shintōism, nature rituals and symbols. She also aims to set up haiku workshops with local residents.
