Luuk Gruwez (b. 1953) is a Flemish prose writer and essayist, but first of all a poet.
During his residency at the Maison Dora Maar in the Provençal village of Ménerbes, once the home of Picasso's lover Dora Maar, he is working on a book of letters with the working title De glazen man ("The Man of Glass"). About this project, he writes: 'It will contain letters of an autobiographical nature, addressed mainly to women, with which I see writing filling up the glass man I initially put on stage until he becomes visible.' In November, Gruwez will also read from his own work at a literature festival taking place in the villages around Ménerbes.
