It is under the motto ‘Blossomings and abundance’ that Ramsey Nasr will kick off Poetry Week at Passa Porta in the Beurs café. Following his example, we put together an evening of abundance with blossoming new branches. Nisrine Mbarki will introduce her debut Oeverloos while Siel Verhanneman will present to us her new collection Wat nu met het licht dat binnenvalt. Newly appointed Belgian Poet Laureate Mustafa Kör will honour us with a visit and new work.
Dutch actor and author Ramsey Nasr wrote the Poetry Gift for this fifth edition which has ‘nature’ as its theme. The motto of Poetry Week is therefore also borrowed from his work: ‘Blossomings and abundance’.
Moderator Annabelle Van Nieuwenhuyse will be in conversation with the poets between the readings.
Organisation: Passa Porta, Beursschouwburg, Poëziecentrum, Pluim
